Inter will send Filip Stankovic on loan next season to give the goalkeeper a taste of first-team football, according to a report in Italy today.

FcInterNews.it said the Nerazzurri were very confident in the 19-year-old’s ability and saw him as a potential future goalkeeper for the club.

Filip, the son of Inter legend Dejan, is expected to find a new club where he can show off his potential, after an impressive season with Inter’s Primavera.

He has made 12 appearances for Armando Madonna’s side with an occasional appearance on the substitutes bench for Inter’s senior team.

Stankovic is under contract with Inter until 2024 and his future will depend on the requests Inter receive in the summer, both from Italy and abroad.

He has been training with Antonio Conte on and off since Inter’s pre-season training camp in Lugano two years ago, and the hope is that one day he can take his place between the sticks at San Siro.
