Inter’s players will finally be reunited with club president Steven Zhang tomorrow, according to a report in the Italian media.

Corriere della Sera’s print edition said Zhang would most likely visit Appiano Gentile ahead of Saturday’s crucial Serie A match at Crotone.

Zhang will not travel with Antonio Conte’s side to the Stadio Ezio Scida, not least because Inter cannot officially secure the title with victory over the Rossoblu.

Instead he will remain in Milan and get to work on the numerous issues he needs to sort upon his return to Milan.

Zhang returned to Italy yesterday along with a delegation of four or five people, meeting Inter’s chief executives Beppe Marotta and Alessandro Antonello shortly after his arrival.

He is due to have a lengthy stay in Milan because he needs to sort Inter’s financial situation, the issue regarding outstanding player salaries and possibly new contracts for Conte and Inter’s directors.

Zhang will also need to find a new shirt sponsor for Inter, which will hopefully earn the club around €25-30 million annually, and attempt to make progress on Inter’s new stadium plans.

The report suggested he could meet representatives from Milan’s city council to try and resolve the impasse at some point.
