Inter are likely to be priced out of deals for three players offered to the club, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said Napoli defender Nikola Maksimovic, Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng and Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic (on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt) were all being offered to the Nerazzurri.

However, Inter are hoping to reduce their wage bill in the summer transfer window and these players all have salaries which could be too expensive for them.

Maksimovic earns €3 million annually, which Inter believe is too much for the 29-year-old, while Boateng earns €4.5 million per season and is also too costly.

Jovic gets €5 million each year in his contract with Real Madrid and is therefore also unlikely to join Inter, despite the club’s desire to sign a new fourth striker for Antonio Conte.

Maksimovic and Boateng are both available on free transfers while Jovic remains under contract with Real Madrid until 2025.
