Inter’s players were reunited with club president Steven Zhang this morning, according to a leading Italian broadcaster.

Sky Sport Italia confirmed Zhang had arrived at Appiano Gentile, where he would meet the Nerazzurri’s first-team squad as they prepare to face Crotone tomorrow.

Antonio Conte, Beppe Marotta, Alessandro Antonello, Piero Ausilio and Javier Zanetti all turned up before Zhang as Inter’s directors prepare to welcome back their president.

Zhang will not travel with Inter for their fixture at the Stadio Ezio Scida, where the Nerazzurri will hope to take another step towards the Serie A title.

Conte’s side are champions on Sunday if they beat Crotone and Atalanta fail to pick up all three points at Sassuolo.

In any case, Inter need just four points from their final five games to clinch the scudetto for the first time since 2010.

Zhang arrived in Milan on Wednesday after a six-month absence and will now get to work on the club’s various off-field issues.
