Inter To Defend Romelu Lukaku At All Costs ‘Unless €120M Offer Arrived’, Italian Media Report

Inter will do everything in their power to keep Romelu Lukaku at the club for next season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Antonio Conte had no intention of losing his star striker, who is critical to Inter’s attacking play for his link-up work with Lautaro Martinez.

Inter will defend Lukaku from his suitors at all costs, with reports in England yesterday talking about a potential €100 million offer from Chelsea.

However, the report warned Inter’s resistance could waver if they were to receive an offer in the region of €120 million.

The Rome-based paper insisted Inter would have to sell a key player before June 30 in order to balance their books, but it is not likely to be Lukaku, Nicolo Barella or Alessandro Bastoni.

Lautaro could be the player who is sacrificed, they suggested, with the striker attracting attention from various top clubs.

Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen will all have interest in the summer and so will Achraf Hakimi.

Hakimi ‘will be defended like Barella and Bastoni’, but given Inter’s economic situation there is no guarantee they will be able to reject all advances for the Moroccan wing-back.
