Inter’s next home game with Sampdoria could be brought forward by three hours to avoid curfew problems, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said kick-off at San Siro could be moved from 18:00 CET from 15:00 CET if the Nerazzurri do not secure the Serie A title this weekend.

If Inter fail to beat Crotone tomorrow – or if they win but Atalanta also beat Sassuolo on Sunday – they will need a result against Sampdoria on May 8 in order to secure the scudetto.

Milan’s local authorities could request the change to kick-off time so as to avoid mass gatherings of Inter supporters which could breach curfew hours in Italy, in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nobody at Inter is planning anything in terms of title celebrations yet, the report assured, with no one willing to take their eye off the ball before the title is certain.

Inter’s celebratory shirts from Nike, hailing the club’s 19th league title, are also being kept under lock and key for now.
