AC Milan have entered the race to sign Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul and could offer players in exchange to secure a deal, despite interest from Inter and Juventus.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are keen to bring De Paul in and will look to reduce Udinese’s €40 million valuation by offering young players to counterbalance the deal.
The Rossoneri are willing to offload Norwegian winger Jens Petter Hauge after just a single season in Serie A in order to land De Paul, whilst fellow youngsters Tommaso Pobega and Marco Brescianini are amongst a list of players CEO Paolo Maldini would be willing to exchange.
Hauge has scored five goals across Serie A and the Europa League since arriving from Bodo/Glimt at the start of the season, whilst Pobega and Brescianini have spent the campaign on loan at Spezia and Virtus Entella respectively.
Inter and Juventus have long been tracking Zebrette captain De Paul but may now be under threat from Milan, with Udinese set to give a definitive answer on the Rossoneri’s approach at a later date.
