Inter President Steven Zhang met with the squad upon his arrival in Milan and delivered a rousing speech ahead of their Scudetto showdown against Crotone.
The Nerazzurri will be crowned champions this weekend if they defeat bottom-club Crotone today and Atalanta fail to earn maximum points against Sassuolo tomorrow.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zhang returned to Italy after a seven-month absence in China, and gathered the squad together at the Appiano Gentile training ground.
The President sought to rouse his team as they close in on a first Scudetto since 2010, with a key focus of his message being on the group making history in winning a 19th league title for the club.
Zhang thanked the Inter team for their journey across the season and encouraged them to make one last effort against Crotone to seal the title, before embracing coach Antonio Conte and CEO Beppe Marotta.
The focus between Zhang, Conte, and Marotta remains solely on securing the title for now and longer term plans will not be discussed until the end of the season.
