Inter are ready to sanction a move to sign Federico Dimarco from Hellas Verona this summer, but coach Antonio Conte will not give his decision on a deal until after the season.
Full-back Dimarco joined Verona from the Nerazzurri on loan at the start of the campaign and the move included an option to make the deal permanent.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gialloblu are expected to exercise this €6.5 million option, but Inter would retain a 50% clause on any future sale and may use it to immediately buy Dimarco back.
Senior managerial figures at the Nerazzurri consider a move to be a low-cost option for a former academy player who has developed well at Verona, whilst the player himself is keen to return to Inter.
However, Conte has yet to commit to bringing Dimarco back and will only begin discussions at the end of the season. At this point, he will evaluate his squad and provide his thoughts on how the team can be strengthened.
