Inter wing-back Matteo Darmian is set to come into the starting line-up for today’s Serie A match against Crotone, having netted the winner against Hellas Verona last time out.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, former Manchester United defender Darmian will be selected at left wing-back in place of Croatia international Ivan Perisic.

Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte is not expected to make widespread changes to the team that started against Verona at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and may only make one other alteration.

Christian Eriksen is at risk of being dropped to the bench against bottom-club Crotone, with Stefano Sensi afforded a rare start in central midfield.

Inter take on Crotone at the Stadio Ezio Scida knowing that victory will put them on the verge of the Scudetto, and they will be crowned champions if they win and Atalanta fail to beat Sassuolo tomorrow.

Conte will likely retain Samir Handanovic in goal, with a defence of Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij, and Alessandro Bastoni. Achraf Hakimi, Marcelo Brozovic, Sensi, and Nicolo Barella will make up the midfield, behind strikers Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
