Juventus have not given up in their pursuit of Udinese captain Rodrigo De Paul, amidst interest from Inter, but their transfer strategies remain on hold.

Argentina international De Paul has caught the attention of a host of clubs after a fine season at the Dacia Arena, and as reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Stampa, Juventus and Inter are amongst his potential suitors.

Juventus face Udinese in Serie A tomorrow and the champions will use the match as a further opportunity to assess the midfielder, with De Paul keen to unite with Argentina teammate Paulo Dybala in Turin.

However, the uncertainty over Juventus’ short-term future and the possibility of missing out on Champions League qualification has seen the Bianconeri transfer plans frozen.

Juventus continue to monitor him but at this stage have no plans in place to move ahead with deals for transfer targets, potentially paving the way for Inter to move ahead.
