Inter’s hopes of signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero are being threatened by interest from a range of clubs across Europe.
Argentina international Aguero is out of contract at the end of the season and the Premier League leaders have confirmed that he will be released, making him a free agent in the summer.
Whilst Inter have been tracking the striker with a view to bringing him in, Aguero has attracted interest from Barcelona, as well as Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, as reported in today’s newspaper edition of the Star On Sunday.
Meanwhile, fellow Premier League clubs Everton and Leeds United are keen on the former Atletico Madrid forward, with the 32-year-old not short of suitors.
Aguero is Manchester City’s all-time record goalscorer and netted his 258th goal for the club in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace yesterday, as he closes in on a fifth Premier League title with the Citizens.
