Inter have become champions of Italy for the 19th time after Atalanta drew Sassuolo 1-1 away at the Mapei Stadium in a dramatic match.

Atalanta took the lead via Robin Gosens but Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, who grew up supporting Inter, equalized from the penalty spot.

This result means that FC Internazionale Milano have won the Serie A again, ending an 11 year drought and have ended Juventus 9 year run, a run which was started by current Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte.

This is the Nerazzurri coach 5th top flight title and his 4th in the Serie A after having won 3 with Juventus and winning the Premier League with Chelsea.

The Nerazzurri last win the Serie A back in 2010 led by José Mourinho during a historic treble winning season. Since then the club has undergone several ownership changes until Chinese conglomerate Suning bought the club from Erick Thohir back in June 2016.

Suning also write history in becoming the first non-Italian owners to win the Serie A.
