Inter celebrated the impact of striker Romelu Lukaku, with the Belgian international close to etching his name into their history books after providing an assist in the 2-0 win over Crotone yesterday.
As reported on the club’s official website, Lukaku took his assist tally for the season to 10 as he set up Christian Eriksen for the opener at the Stadio Ezio Scida, whilst he himself saw a goal disallowed in the second half.
The former Manchester United forward became the first foreign player to provide 10 assists for teammates since Maicon in 2009-10, and he is just one shy of the Brazilian full-back.
In addition to providing for his teammates, Lukaku has also been in lethal form in front of goal for Inter this season and became the first player to hit 20 goals and 10 assists in the same campaign since 2004-05.
Lukaku has not scored for the Nerazzurri in his past five outings however, with his last goal coming against Bologna.
