Steven Zhang has made history at Inter by winning the Serie A title, a report in the Italian media highlighted today.
Inter secured the scudetto yesterday for the first time since 2010 and Zhang has played a key role in bringing the trophy back to San Siro.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Zhang is the youngest president in the Nerazzurri’s history (aged 29) to win the scudetto, but that is not the only record he has set.
He is also the quickest Inter president to win the title, having only been in charge for two years and seven months.
Zhang must now try to plan Inter’s future and clarify the numerous issues which are affecting the club at present, the report explained.
Inter’s incoming €250 million loan does not solve all their economic problems, the Milan-based paper added, but it does give Suning sufficient serenity to continue with their project at the club.
Zhang will need to discuss Inter’s transfer plans, their contract situations, their main shirt sponsor and their stadium project in the coming weeks.
