Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu has an opportunity to return to Romania in the summer, according to a report from his home country today.

Romanian news outlet Sport.ro said FCSB had made an approach for the 23-year-old with a view to a transfer ahead of next season.

FCSB president Gigi Becali would not be able to guarantee Radu the same €2 million annual salary he receives from Inter, which could be an obstacle to any deal.

Inter would need to pay half of his wages if the goalkeeper joined FCSB on loan, although the report did not seem to clarify whether the Nerazzurri would agree to a loan move.

Radu has not played a single minute of football under Antonio Conte this season, having rejoined Inter from Genoa last summer.

It remains to be seen, the report added, whether he would want to take a backwards step in terms of leagues and leave Serie A for Romania’s Liga I.

FCSB are top of the table with two games remaining.
