Romelu Lukaku is an even bigger fan favourite at Inter after his Serie A title celebrations on Sunday, a report in the Italian media suggested.

Lukaku was seen driving around Milan in his car with his mother, waving a Nerazzurri flag and cheering along with supporters in the city centre.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said it would go down as one of the cult images of Inter’s 19th Scudetto, helping Lukaku cement his place in Interisti’s hearts.

Everybody appreciated the striker’s genuine desire to celebrate the title and become ‘an extra fan’ at the weekend.

Lukaku followed up his trip around Milan by tweeting ‘the real God has crowned the king’ yesterday, which many took as another reference to Zlatan Ibrahimovic after Lukaku shouted something similar when he scored in February’s Milan derby.

The Milan-based paper took the opportunity to describe the 27-year-old as ‘a king who walks among his people’ with his celebrations on Sunday.
