Antonio Conte must wait another two weeks before holding talks with Inter president Steven Zhang, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per Calciomercato.com, Conte and Zhang will meet after Inter visit Juventus on the penultimate weekend of the Serie A season (May 15).
Conte has played for time when asked about his future this week and wants to find out whether Inter will need to sell any key players in the transfer market.
Zhang will need ‘valid arguments’ to convince Conte to remain as Inter’s head coach for next season, the report warned.
Inter’s president is due to meet the club’s directors in the next few days to begin planning for the upcoming transfer window, with no progress having been made on that front for months.
It is Zhang’s meeting with Conte which will be crucial to determine Inter’s future, although he also needs to speed up his pursuit for a new main shirt sponsor to replace Pirelli.
