Inter will pay all their players’ outstanding salaries before the end of May, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Il Giorno’s print edition said the Nerazzurri paid €12 million to settle all payments relating to the month of February – including Antonio Conte, his staff and all other club employees – before last weekend’s 2-0 win at Crotone.
Inter paid out all salaries for January at the end of March and they now have four months left to sort: November 2020, December 2020, March and April.
The remaining payments total €48 million and they will be settled by the end of this month, as per the agreement reached by all parties earlier this year.
Inter’s owners Suning have been battling a financial crisis at the club for several months, but it seems they have no intention of abandoning the Nerazzurri anytime soon.
They became the first foreign owners to win Serie A on Sunday when Antonio Conte’s side wrapped up the scudetto with four games to spare.
