Matteo Darmian was overcome with emotion on Wednesday as Inter’s players finally celebrated their Serie A title together.

The Nerazzurri were confirmed as champions with four games to spare last weekend, but they were only reunited at Appiano Gentile earlier after Antonio Conte gave them three days off.

Inter cracked open the champagne with Conte and club president Steven Zhang, before the squad posed for a photo while wearing celebratory scudetto t-shirts.

Darmian tweeted a series of photos and wrote: “Stupendous emotions, here’s where you find them!”
