Antonio Conte could be persuaded to stay at Inter despite the club’s need to slash costs, according to a leading Italian broadcaster.
Sky Sport Italia said Inter’s head coach ‘seemed willing’ to accept the Nerazzurri’s decisions regarding the transfer market, which is expected to be anything but spectacular.
Inter will meet Conte in the coming days – or at the end of the season – to discuss his future, and they will need to see if they can marry the club’s economic requirements with their sporting ambitions.
If those two things can be combined then Conte will remain as their head coach, but Inter have made it clear they won’t have much to spend in the summer.
Inter will reportedly need help from everyone at the club to reduce working costs, with a report elsewhere today claiming that they could ask directors and players to give up bonus payments in their contracts.
