Inter could become a contender to sign Hellas Verona midfielder Antonin Barak, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Barak has enjoyed an extraordinary season for Ivan Juric’s side after a €6 million move from Udinese last summer.

The 26-year-old is likely to receive interest from several Serie A clubs and could be a useful option for Serie A champions Inter.

The Nerazzurri are on excellent terms with Hellas Verona and could use their talks over Eddie Salcedo – who is on loan with the Gialloblu at present – to pursue a move for Barak as well.

Antonio Conte would be signing a valuable alternative to his starting options by securing the Czech Republic midfielder, who has scored seven goals for Hellas Verona this season.

Inter’s interest is ‘only at the start’, the Milan-based paper assured, but it is a situation said to be worth monitoring in the coming weeks.
