Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti credited coach Antonio Conte and fellow forwards Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez for his development this season.

The 21-year-old came off the bench to score his first goal of the campaign in the Nerazzurri’s 5-1 thrashing of Sampdoria in Serie A today, as the champions enjoyed a fine win at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

In an interview with Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia after the final whistle, Pinamonti spoke of his joy at netting for his boyhood club and contributing to a successful season for the Nerazzurri.

“The feeling is indescribable. Already winning the title was a wonderful thing and I believed in it. The goal crowned a fantastic year,” the former Genoa loanee declared.

“I think this is the year where I have grown the most despite having played little. But training with these champions and with a coach like this I have grown a lot.”

Inter have enjoyed a sterling campaign in which they have only lost twice in 35 Serie A matches, and Pinamonti suggested that the quality of the players in the squad had made the difference.

“For me, the fact that we have so many champions in the team united us. We are a fantastic group, we spoke with each other especially after some defeats, and set ourselves the target of winning the title. We succeeded and it means that we did a good job,” the striker added.

Italy U-21 international Pinamonti has made eight appearances in total for Inter in his career, having had loan spells at Frosinone and Genoa.
