Inter forward Alexis Sanchez has been praised as the team’s top performer in the 5-1 win over Sampdoria yesterday, although goalkeeper Samir Handanovic disappointed, Italian media claim.

Chile international Sanchez scored twice in the first half as Inter thrashed the Blucerchiati at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Serie A, with Roberto Gagliardini, Andrea Pinamonti and Lautaro Martinez also amongst the scorers.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Sanchez was Inter’s best player and his goalscoring exploits saw him awarded an 8 in their ratings.

The former Manchester United forward’s display was likened to his brace against Parma in a 2-1 win in early March, as he took his tally to seven for the season.

However, goalkeeper Handanovic came in for criticism after a poor parry allowed Keita Balde to score for Sampdoria. The captain was the lowest rated player in Inter’s team and was awarded a 5, before being substituted at half-time for Andrei Radu.
