Inter’s 5-1 thrashing of Sampdoria in Serie A yesterday has shown that Antonio Conte’s side are ready to continue dominating domestically, with a some minor additions, Italian media claim.

Just one week on from being crowned champions for the first time since 2010, the Nerazzurri continued the party atmosphere with a comprehensive victory at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, courtesy of a brace from Alexis Sanchez and goals from Roberto Gagliardini, Andrea Pinamonti, and Lautaro Martinez.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, it was a complete performance despite multiple changes to the starting line-up, and showed that Inter could attack with different approaches rather than solely on the counter.

The newspaper also suggested that the display was a glimpse into a bright future for Inter and that their squad depth could allow them to develop further and continue their success in Serie A.

Udinese captain Rodrigo De Paul is cited as the perfect addition to the team, with his guile and skill on the ball suited to this Nerazzurri team.

However, it is argued that a new goalkeeper is a priority after an unconvincing performance by Samir Handanovic, although this is the only urgent area that needs strengthening.
