After netting his first senior goal for the club in yesterday’s 5-1 win over Sampdoria, Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti may have done enough to convince the club to keep him next season.
With the Scudetto already wrapped up, Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte made numerous changes to his team at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against the Blucerchiati, with Pinamonti scoring after being introduced as a second half substitute.
According to FCInter1908.it, Pinamonti has enjoyed a productive season despite seeing little playing time and his work and development in training has done enough to convince Conte of his potential.
The 21-year-old has been limited to just six substitute appearances throughout the whole campaign, with Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, and Alexis Sanchez ahead of him in the pecking order.
Despite this, a year of training with those players has seen Pinamonti grow as a player after Conte urged him to work for his opportunities in October.
Following his goal against Sampdoria he could be retained next season, with the possibility that Conte will reconsider searching for a more experienced attacker.
