Antonio Conte is showing no sign of cutting his Inter players any slack during their Serie A run-in, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, Conte is certain to keep his foot on the gas right until the end of the season, despite having already won the scduetto.
Conte has told his Inter players that he wants to finish the season with three wins against Roma, Juventus and Udinese.
The Nerazzurri would end up with 94 points if they managed that, giving Conte’s side the second-highest points total in Inter history behind Roberto Mancini’s team in the 2006-07 season.
Conte will take charge of his 100th match at Inter against Roma on Wednesday, the Rome-based paper added, where he will hope to further improve his remarkable coaching stats in Serie A.
Inter’s boss has become the first coach to win 138 of his first 200 league games in Italy’s top flight, giving Conte a win percentage of 68%.
He has won 62 games out of 99 so far at Inter and will seek a record-breaking 15th straight home win when they host Paulo Fonseca’s side in midweek.
