Antonio Conte has every desire to continue as Inter’s head coach next season, according to a report from a leading Italian broadcaster.
Sky Sport Italia said both Conte and Inter wanted to continue working together, with Conte unwilling to interrupt a process which began two years ago when he was appointed head coach.
Inter will meet with Conte soon and if they can reach an agreement there will be no problems to keep working with one another for next season.
The starting point of any agreement for Conte, though, is that Inter don’t sell off his key players and dismantle all the good work he has done at the club up to now.
Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni are said to be the players receiving most interest ahead of the summer transfer window, having both impressed hugely en route to becoming Serie A champions.
Conte will take charge of his 100th match at Inter on Wednesday when the Nerazzurri welcome Roma to San Siro.
