Inter are receiving lots of attention for two of their most talented young players, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Corriere della Sera’s print edition, the Nerazzurri will need to sell a key player in the summer to help them ease their well-documented financial problems.

Both players are young and could guarantee Inter a healthy capital gain if they were sold, having performed exceptionally en route to this season’s Serie A title.

Antonio Conte would not be pleased at the thought of losing Lautaro or Bastoni, the report admitted, but this did not mean by any means that Inter would be dismantling their scudetto-winning squad.

Conte has yet to commit his future to Inter because he wants reassurance on two key issues, the Milan-based paper continued.

Inter’s boss is concerned that he will begin next season with a squad which is incapable of fighting for the club’s minimum objectives, but he also wants to talk with Steven Zhang about the communication the club will use for next season.

It would be pointless to aim for a Serie A title defence and a good showing in the UEFA Champions League if Inter don’t have the players to do it, the report suggested.

Zhang needs to give Conte the answers he is seeking and time is running out with the summer transfer window looming on the horizon.
