Inter have made a concession to their players as they aim to secure wage cuts from everyone, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, the Nerazzurri want to cut their costs by 15-20% and will have to sell at least one key player before June 30, in order to balance their books.
Club president Steven Zhang is set to renegotiate everyone’s contracts, or at least try to, and he will find talks easier after agreeing to pay players all the bonus payments they are due after winning the Serie A title.
Zhang had initially asked Inter’s players to give up the bonus payments, only for the club’s directors to change his mind.
Inter will need to find individual agreements with each player depending on when their contract expires, the Turin-based paper explained.
The only player who does not have a Serie A title bonus in his contract is Andrea Pinamonti, who scored his first senior goal for the club against Sampdoria on Saturday.
