Inter will look to sell Alexis Sanchez in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said the Chilean’s €7 million annual salary was a problem for the Nerazzurri, as they battle ongoing financial problems.

Sanchez would probably be destined to stay at Inter if he wasn’t earning so much, but the situation is different now because the club are required to follow a policy of austerity.

However, the 32-year-old’s wages will also mean it is difficult to find any clubs willing to sign him, so Sanchez’s future remains very much uncertain.

Inter signed Sanchez on a season-long loan from Manchester United in 2019 and then made his move permanent at the end of the campaign.

He has only started 21 league games during his first two seasons with the Nerazzurri, scoring nine goals and providing 11 assists.

Sanchez is currently Inter’s third-highest earning player behind Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen.
