Antonio Conte is planning eight changes to his Inter XI for tomorrow’s match at home to Roma, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Stefano Sensi will get another chance to start for the Nerazzurri as he continues his recovery towards peak fitness.
Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic are also due to come back into midfield, while Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij will return to Conte’s defence.
Romelu Lukaku will replace Lautaro Martinez up front, having been rested for Saturday’s 5-1 thrashing against Sampdoria at San Siro.
Samir Handanovic, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Alexis Sanchez are the only three players who will keep their places following the emphatic win over Claudio Ranieri’s side.
In addition to Lautaro, the other seven players dropping to the bench are Andrea Ranocchia, Alessandro Bastoni, Achraf Hakimi, Christian Eriksen, Matias Vecino, Roberto Gagliardini and Ashley Young.
Inter’s probable starting XI vs Roma (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Danilo D’Ambrosio; Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi, Ivan Perisic; Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku.
