Andrei Radu could make his full senior debut for Inter tonight when the Nerazzurri host Roma, according to a report in the Italian media.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Antonio Conte is expected to pick the Romanian ahead of Samir Handanovic in goal for the first time since Radu returned to the club last summer.
Handanovic would equal Walter Zenga’s 328-appearance tally by starting at San Siro, but it seems his younger counterpart will finally get a chance in the starting XI.
Radu is likely to be one of seven changes Conte makes to his XI following Saturday’s 5-1 thrashing of Sampdoria.
Andrea Ranocchia and Danilo D’Ambrosio will start again in defence, while Matteo Darmian and Ivan Perisic will come in at wing-back.
Matias Vecino is favourite ahead of Stefano Sensi to play alongside Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella, while Romelu Lukaku is back in the line-up in attack.
Inter’s probable starting XI vs Roma (3-5-2): Andrei Radu, Milan Skriniar, Andrea Ranocchia, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Matias Vecino, Ivan Perisic, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez.
