Walter Zenga was in a nostalgic mood on Tuesday as he celebrated a very special Inter anniversary.

L’Uomo Ragno was in goal for the Nerazzurri on 11 May in 1994 when they secured the UEFA Cup title by defeating Austria Salzburg at San Siro.

Gianpiero Marini’s side won both legs of the two-legged final 1-0, with the return game taking place 27 years ago yesterday.

Zenga played his final match for Inter on that night and posted a video of the game on Instagram, writing: “Nobody will ever take the joy of that night away from me.

“I knew it would be my last game with Inter, San Siro was packed and everyone was chanting my name.

“It was a perfect script and I couldn’t help but say goodbye to everyone with one final gift (the UEFA Cup trophy).”
