Alexis Sanchez is on course for a speedy recovery after picking up an injury during Inter’s win over Roma, according to a report in the Italian media.
The Chilean forward went off with a suspected sprained ankle after 35 minutes at San Siro, being replaced by Lautaro Martinez as the Nerazzurri secured a 3-1 victory.
As per Gazzetta.it, Sanchez was treated on his ankle this morning and did not take part in Inter’s shakedown session at Appiano Gentile.
However, the 32-year-old could potentially still recover in time for Saturday’s Derby d’Italia away at Juventus.
Antonio Conte was again without Aleksandar Kolarov and Arturo Vidal in training, with the Serbian having undergone surgery this morning to remove a herniated disc.
Inter have nothing but pride to play for when they visit the Allianz Stadium on Saturday but Conte will be desperate to land a blow on his former club, who are trying to secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
