Romelu Lukaku and three Inter teammates are in trouble with the police after the striker’s birthday celebrations got out of hand last night.

Corriere della Sera revealed Lukaku was seen in a hotel in the centre of Milan at 3am, along with Achraf Hakimi, Ivan Perisic, Ashley Young and 20 others.

Police arrived on the scene after a phone call and sanctioned the four of them, along with the manager of the hotel’s restaurant who organised the event for Lukaku’s 28th birthday.

The manager and guests will be sanctioned for breaking COVID-19 rules, including Italy’s curfew laws as they combat the pandemic.

Inter were unlikely to have been aware of the party and they certainly would not have approved the celebrations, the report assured.

The Nerazzurri are going through a turbulent period off the pitch with serious financial problems, and Lukaku’s ‘clandestine’ party with his teammates will do little to ease the atmosphere around the club.
