Inter are showing an interest in Chelsea full-back Davide Zappacosta, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Genova-based newspaper Il Secolo XIX said the Nerazzurri and AC Milan were considering a move for the Italian, who is coming to the end of a season-long loan at Genoa.
Chelsea are unlikely to grant another loan move for Zappacosta because the 28-year-old has impressed on his return to Serie A, scoring his fourth goal of the season during Wednesday’s 2-0 win at Bologna.
Zappacosta would not come cheap but is likely to receive interest from Italy’s big clubs in the summer transfer window.
Genoa are expected to be priced out of a permanent deal for the full-back, the report added, opening the door for clubs like Inter and AC Milan.
Antonio Conte has already coached Zappacosta, who has provided two assists for the Grifone this season, after he signed the defender while in charge of Chelsea back in 2017.
