Inter will face Juventus under the watchful gaze of Gianpaolo Calvarese tomorrow for the second time this season.
Serie A confirmed today Calvarese would referee the Derby d’Italia at the Allianz Stadium, having already taken charge of the pair’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg in February.
Inter will be hoping for a more positive outcome on this occasion after losing that match 2-1 at San Siro, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winner after a mix-up between Alessandro Bastoni and Samir Handanovic.
Marco Guida will be fourth official in Turin while Massimiliano Irrati is due to oversee VAR duties for the matchday 37 encounter.
In addition to February’s defeat against Juventus, Calvarese also officiated Inter’s first match of the 2020-21 season, when Antonio Conte’s side came from behind to beat Fiorentina 4-3.
He has taken charge of Juventus twice in Serie A, overseeing the Bianconeri’s comfortable away wins at Parma (on matchday 13) and Cagliari (on matchday 27).
