As Inter take on Juventus in Serie A this afternoon, it could be the final Derby d’Italia for the coaches of both teams, Antonio Conte and Andrea Pirlo respectively.

The Nerazzurri have enjoyed a fine domestic season and ended Juventus’ nine-year dominance on the Serie A title by winning the Scudetto, whilst Pirlo’s Bianconeri are struggling to secure Champions League qualification.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Pirlo is facing the exit at the Allianz Stadium after a single season regardless of whether he guides the team into the Champions League, having underwhelmed this term.

However, Conte’s future at Inter has also been cast into doubt, despite leading the club to the title, with financial constraints making for an uncertain summer.

The former Chelsea and Italy coach is set to meet with President Steven Zhang at the end of the season to seek guarantees on Inter’s future plans, amidst fears that players may be offloaded.
