Inter coach Antonio Conte is waiting on clarification from owners Suning and is reluctant to see the squad broken up this summer.
Conte led Inter to a first Scudetto since 2010 after wrapping up the Serie A title, but doubts remain surrounding his future as Suning battle financial concerns and face the possibility of having to sell players at the end of the season.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere della Sera, Conte is avoiding questions on his plans for the coming weeks and will not commit until Suning have made their own position known.
Suning are looking to secure investment but will discuss their direction after Inter’s final game of the season, against Udinese next Sunday, and Conte is waiting until then to gain greater clarity.
The coach is determined to keep the core of his players, but the newspaper suggests that at least one key figure may be cashed in on, whilst there will be limited incomings, as Suning look to streamline and ensure they are able to continue their position at the helm of the club.
