Inter President Steven Zhang and Juventus counterpart Andrea Agnelli have taken similar approaches to key issues over the season, Italian media suggest.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Zhang and Agnelli have led the charge for implementing changes in domestic football, with both figures heavily involved in movements to amend the Lega Serie A.
Meanwhile, Inter and Juventus were both part of the breakaway European Super League last month, although the Nerazzurri withdrew following widespread backlash. Agnelli was thought to be a key figure in the plans and Juventus have not formally departed from the league, however.
Zhang and Agnelli have also followed similar financial strategies this term following the coronavirus pandemic, with Inter hoping to convince players to take wage cuts or deferrals over the coming months.
Juventus had reached an agreement with their own squad to defer and forego wages last year and Inter are hoping to follow suit.
The two rivals face off in the Derby d’Italia in Serie A today, as champions Inter travel to the Allianz Stadium.
