Inter wing-back Matteo Darmian will be unavailable for the Nerazzurri’s final match of the season against Udinese next week after being booked in today’s 3-2 defeat to Juventus.

The former Manchester United defender began the game on the left and played the first half, before being replaced at the interval by Croatian Ivan Perisic.

As reported by FCInterNews.it, Darmian’s season is effectively over after he was shown a yellow card for a foul midway through the first period, leading a VAR check and a penalty for Juventus, which Cristiano Ronaldo netted from the rebound.

It was Darmian’s fifth yellow card of the season and means he must serve a one-match ban in Serie A, ruling him out of the final day visit of Udinese to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Italian international is on loan at Inter from already relegated Parma and has made 36 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals.
