Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal remains a target for French Ligue 1 club Marseille, whilst the Nerazzurri would be open to selling him.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Marseille coach Jorge Sampaoli is keen to reunite with Vidal next season, having worked with the midfielder during his spell as coach of the Chilean national team.

Marseille have long been interested in the former Juventus player and hope to convince him to move to French football after a single season with Inter.

The Nerazzurri, meanwhile, would consider selling Vidal as they look to bring costs down following financial concerns.

Vidal is one of the top earners at Inter, with an annual salary of €6.5 million, and his limited impact this season has put him amongst a group of players that Nerazzurri owners Suning will consider moving in on order to bring the wage bill down.

Much will depend on coach Antonio Conte’s aims for the Vidal, having pushed Inter to swoop for the 33-year-old from Barcelona at the start of the campaign.
