Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi has emerged as a transfer target for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this summer.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Bavarian club have been impressed with Hakimi’s impact during his debut season in Serie A and have identified him as a replacement for out-going David Alaba.

Hakimi joined Inter from Real Madrid last summer and has enjoyed a stellar season, scoring seven goals and providing 10 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions as the Nerazzurri won the Scudetto.

Bayern Munich hope to take advantage of Inter’s financial uncertainty to land the 22-year-old and are already preparing an offer for him, particularly as the Nerazzurri are still making payments to Real Madrid in pre-agreed instalments as part of his €45 million transfer fee.

Hakimi has experience of playing in the Bundesliga, having spent the past two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund and making 73 appearances for the club.
