Following their 3-2 defeat to Juventus in the Derby d’Italia yesterday, Inter’s players have been afforded three days off by coach Antonio Conte.
As reported by L’Interista, Conte remains unconcerned by the defeat to the Bianconeri, with Inter having already wrapped up a first Scudetto since 2010 this season, and will seek to give his team some time to recover physically and mentally.
The coach has cancelled training and does not expect his players to reconvene until Wednesday, at which point attention will be turned to the final day of the season.
Inter welcome Udinese to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza next Sunday as they bring the curtain down on a successful campaign, and they will hope to see out the season with a victory that would take them to 91 points.
The Nerazzurri are already enjoying their second highest points tally in Serie A, but will be unable to match the record set by Roberto Mancini’s title winners in 2007, as they amassed 97 points.
