Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen put in a sub-par performance in their 3-2 defeat to Juventus in the Derby d’Italia yesterday, according to Italian media.
The Denmark international started the match at the Allianz Stadium but was withdrawn for Stefano Sensi after 73 minutes, as Inter sought an equaliser with the match at 2-1 to Juventus at that point.
As highlighted by L’Interista, various editions of Italian newspapers were unimpressed with Eriksen, whilst they themselves awarded him a rating of 6.
In today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was given a 6, but it was noted that he only tried to dictate play after the break, following a quiet first half.
Today’s newspaper editions of both Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport were critical of Eriksen and rated him at a 5, whilst Tuttomercatoweb.com felt he was only worthy of a 5.5, with the 29-year-old described as playing within himself.
Eriksen has made 25 Serie A appearances for Inter this season, scoring twice.
