Sports data analysts Opta have taken to Social Media to highlight how prolific Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has been this season, after he netted in the 3-2 defeat to Juventus.

The Belgium international followed up his goal against Roma in midweek with the opener from the penalty spot at the Allianz Stadium yesterday.

It saw the former Manchester United striker move on to 23 league goals for the second consecutive season, a feat only previously achieved by Mauro Icardi, Stefano Nyers, and Giuseppe Meazza.

“4- Romelu Lukaku is only the fourth player to score 23+ goals for Inter in two consecutive seasons in Serie A, after Mauro Icardi, Stefano Nyers and Giuseppe Meazza. Implacable,” Opta tweeted.
