Inter could be left with no option but to sell Ivan Perisic in the summer, a report in the Italian media has warned.

As per Calciomercato.com, Perisic earns €5 million annually and his hefty salary is no longer compatible with the club’s finances.

Antonio Conte would be happy to keep hold of the Croatian, who has performed excellently in the second half of this season, but Perisic might need to be sold for economic reasons.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta had given ‘clear signals’ that the club needed to offload his wages, which are considered too high for the Nerazzurri’s accounts at present.

Perisic would enter the final year of his contract next season and that means Inter are ‘almost obliged’ to sell him this summer, the report added.

Inter will otherwise have no chance to gain a transfer fee for the former Bayern Munich winger, who has scored four goals and provided five assists in all competitions this season.
