Inter are expected to sell Ivan Perisic in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said the Croatian was ‘almost certain’ to leave the Nerazzurri, despite having played a key role in this season’s Serie A title triumph since January.
Perisic is under contract with Inter until 2022 and his annual salary worth €5 million is said to be a huge burden for the club’s finances.
Inter are hoping to secure a decent fee for Perisic after his treble-winning season with Bayern Munich last year, while his performances this season – and his participation at the European Championships in the summer – could also help drive the price up.
Ashley Young is also due to leave Inter at the end of the season, although unlike Perisic the Englishman’s departure is said to be certain.
The 35-year-old is out of contract in the summer and will not be offered an extension, having fallen behind Perisic in the pecking order at left wing-back this year.
