Inter could be persuaded to sell Lucien Agoume in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Tuttosport’s print edition said Bayern Munich remained interested in the midfielder, who is coming to the end of a season-long loan at Spezia.
Agoume’s future at Inter is uncertain because the Nerazzurri ‘would certainly consider’ a big-money offer for their promising 19-year-old.
He has only made 12 appearances for Spezia this season but it seems that has done little to deter Bayern Munich from making a move.
Inter are set for a difficult summer in the transfer market where it will be very hard to invest in signings, the Turin-based paper warned.
Suning are about to secure a €250 million financing deal for the Nerazzurri from Oaktree Capital Management, but none of that money will be invested in signings.
Inter will have to focus exclusively on selling players and securing capital gains until June 30, after which their incoming deals will all need to be financed by further sales.
Antonio Conte will ask Inter to keep all his key players while sacrificing unwanted players like Joao Mario, Radja Nainggolan, Dalbert and Valentino Lazaro.
Inter will likely receive interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City for Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni, the report added, and it remains to be seen how they would respond to any offers which arrived.
